The Resistant Learner Intensive

Learn how to help your resistant learners feel smart and successful so they tap into their natural love of learning.

The truth is that learning is hard for kids with dyslexia and ADHD. In the Resistant Learner Intensive, you will learn how to take the pressure off of you and your kids so they can feel smart and successful. Kids who feel this way enjoy learning!

The Resistant Learner Intensive

The Resistant Learner Intensive was created to give you the information you need to better understand your kids' learning needs so that you can turn your resistant learners into eager learners.

Four days of teachings will cover the following topics:

Anyone who teaches kids with learning differences like dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD must start with understanding. When we can accept, appreciate, and accommodate our kids' learning, they will feel smart and successful.

Real learning is much more than quizzes, tests, grades, and requirements. Take some time to rethink the purpose of education so you can create a learning environment where your kids are truly learning and where your learning goals are tailored to the specific needs of your unique kids.

Kids who learn differently need to be taught differently. Taking your kids out of school is only the first step. The next step is embracing new ways of teaching so that your kids feel smart and successful.

Most kids resist learning from time to time. However, sometimes kids develop extreme cases of resistance such as outright refusal to do school. Other topics that we will cover are how to handle a resistant learner in high school when the clock seems to be ticking and what can be done for kids who are extremely ‘behind’?

Our live Question and Answer session will give you personal support and guidance for your unique family situation.

Do you ever feel alone as you homeschool your struggling learners? Come meet with your Resistant Learner Intensive classmates to learn, laugh, and be encouraged together.

Since working with Marianne, I am much more at peace. I am no longer worried and am less stressed. I have tools to implement and a much more realistic perspective of how to approach teaching a dyslexic child. Marianne's wealth of information and experience have been so helpful. Her calm and reassuring demeanor are helpful to those of us who get really worked up and need to just slow down and take a deep breath.

What others are saying:

Before working with Marianne, I was discouraged and worried that I wasn't accomplishing enough. Most of all, it really bothered me that we weren't experiencing a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere I had always envisioned for our family. After working with Marianne, I feel much more at peace. My kids are learning and experiencing success. I feel confident knowing that I am spending time and energy on the areas that are the most valuable for my children.
